2008 Championships Tournament Scholarship Changes Approved by the Board of Directors

At their Fall Board Meeting on November 11, 2007 the board approved major changes to the 2008 Championships Scholarships. If entries in the 2008 tournament match or exceed last years entries, a total of $36,000 in scholarships will be awarded. This would be more than double the total awarded in 2007.

$2000 Minimum Guaranteed to each 1^st Place Team.
$1000 Minimum Guaranteed to each 1^st Place Doubles
$500 Minimum Guaranteed to each 1^st Place Singles/All Events
(based on a minimum number of 60 entries/division)

How can we do this you ask?

This can be accomplished through fund raising efforts, such souvenir sales and the generous gifts received from donations. Extra scholarships can also be added from the good financial planning of our current scholarship funds as they earn interest and grow.

But it also depends on you, for over one-third of the projected scholarship fund will come directly from entries, so we need your support. Come out and bowl, have fun in the 2008 Pennsylvania State Youth Championships.
