12 & Above Tournament Lane Condition
The following lane condition will be applied to
each squad of the 2008 Pepsi Youth Championships Tournament for
the 12 and Over Divisions only.

The 11 & Under Divisions will be bowling on what
is commonly know as normal house conditions.
Why is a more difficult pattern used at
the state finals?
There are three main reasons:

The next levels of competition (National
& Junior Gold) will also use a more challenging lane
condition, this gives many bowlers their first
experience at such conditions.

Bowlers may be re-rated at the National
Event based on their performance at the State event.
Past history as shown this to hurt Pennsylvania
participants at the national event.

A more challenging condition allows the
skill of the participant to be the major deciding factor
in determining the winners of the event.

The National Handbook contains your league level rules, handicap
charts, league level worksheets and other information. The State
Handbook contains the specific qualifying dates, advancement ratios,
District and State Level rules and other State related information
